'Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk' directed by Ang Lee based on the novelization by Ben Fountain boasts an impressive cast of singer/actor Adyn Walsh in the titular role, Kristen Stewart, Vin Diesel, Garrett Hedlund, Steve Martin and Chris Tucker. The first trailer for the "Iraq war satire" seems a bit too serious for its branding, interspersing images of war and Walsh near tears as a somber rendition of David Bowie's "Heroes" plays on among the explosions. However, Ang Lee is an acclaimed director known for rising past expectations so there is a good chance the film could include some of the wryness and political commentary missing from the trailer. Also notable, the revelation the film was shot at 120 fps, the highest frame rate for any film to date. Alsready there has been Oscar talk as the film has been slated for a November 11th release, putting it in a prime position to become a contender. Advanced screenings of the film will be held at both the New York Film Festival and the Toronto Film Festival later this fall.
