»BI0GRAPHY when you live in a house with a two year old warning bells tend to go off as soon as you realize your child has fallen silent. you think he might have wandered outside, got trapped under something heavy, or up to some sort of mischief. the parents of adyn walsh, however, they found their son staring at the television absolutely enraptured by what was going on on screen. in all other facets of his life adyn was a rough and tumble little boy but there was something telling about his early fascination with being seen on the screen.

besides school plays and church choir there didn't seem to be many options in florence, kentucky for a little boy with an interest in growing up to be a star. adyn begged for his first guitar as a seventh birthday present and held concerts in his backyard that were attended dutifully by his siblings, his parents, and whatever neighborhood members that he could bribe to come over. that's why it seemed almost too good to be true when his mom's practice brought the family to california.

if florence held no chance of becoming a star then los angeles seemed nearly overflowing with them. however, adyn's dream was a dream shared by practically every other little boy in los angeles so his parents did their best to shield him away from what they figured was inevitable disappointment. and there was disappointment. facing down children who had been doing this since wearing diapers, who didn't say y'all and have an undeniable southern accent, adyn was way out of his depth and it was easy to see. until finally, like those stories go, adyn was at the right place at the right time, running singing through the aisles of the grocery store when a man stopped his mother. the man asked if her son was signed, was he interested in doing a reality show, he explained that he was a talent scout and that adyn just might have a chance. it was this meeting that started it all.

it would be great to say his career exploded from that moment but it didn't. he didn't win the singing competition show but he did well enough to catch the eye of a few labels. the following year adyn tanner was given limited release by columbia records. while it made a dent in christian radio the album failed to do anything like the record company had hoped. that wasn't enough for him to give up and from this lesson came echo age, a band made up of adyn and two of his fellow competitors turned friends, that not only wanted to sing but play their own instruments. the boys hoped this would be enough to set them apart in a world dominated by pop music. from the following year came 'it's about time' on which adyn took lead vocals but changes among sony management left the boys with very little funding to promote and very little hope if getting a second album done. it came to no surprise to anyone that before the album was even six months old they had been dropped by the label.

there was someone that did take notice, disney, who picked up the band within months of their release from columbia records. now signed to disney's hollywood records they immediately accompanied miley cyrus on tour, took part in her film and live concert film, all the while working on recording a new album of their own. the pace was grueling but the boys were just happy to be having a second chance to make their dreams come true. with the backing of disney, echo age became easily one of the biggest bands in the teen market, selling out arenas and with tv shows, merchandise, and a concert film of their own. however, after four years, the cracks finally began to show. the boys were overworked, overexposed, and now in their late teens ready to do something new.

adyn released a solo album with hollywood records that recieved minor sucess, but more importantly it proved that adyn walsh was a viable product on his own and not only as a part of a band. the offers came in for television and film work and he figured he had nothing to lose, participating in a few indie films and an episode of law and order before there were rumors about an echo age reunion. it perhaps wasn't the full length album that the fans were hoping for but there was a tour and a few new songs before an announcement was made that this was the end of the echo age.

the whispers were that the reason the echo age reunion failed was that adyn just didn't have the time or heart for it was never concerned but, with two television series and a successful solo album heading into 2015, those whispers just might have been true.
